Research on the non-destructive testing methods for concrete sluice ways (2): Basic experiments of elastic-wave testing methods for a reinforced concrete slab model

Abstract
We have started a research on the non-destructive testing methods for the concrete cracks. First, a Laser Doppler Vibrometer was tested for the surface wave measurements on a reinforced concrete slab model. We confirmed that the correct Rayleigh wave velocity was measured only by using a wavelength less than the half of the slab thickness. Second, we tried to get a tomographic image of a crack and rebars by using a multi-channel ultrasonic sensor array apparatus named "A1040 MIRA". As the results, it could not detect the crack of the concrete slab model, though the rebars and the thickness of the slab were clearly detected.
