On the suggested standard format of geophysical data for their archives in future (Part II)

Abstract
The SEGJ Digital Standard Format Consortium has worked since 2009 in collaboration with the Public Works Research Institute for proposing the digital standard formats of geophysical data. XML-based formats for presenting 2D geophysical profiles were proposed in 2011 for the seismic refraction method, the surface wave method and the electrical method. The Consortium had then continued to discuss about the standard format of geophysical data including a profile for their archives for reuse of the data in future and proposed the standard formats for eight geophysical methods, 1) seismic refraction method, 2) seismic reflection method, 3) surface wave method, 4) microtremor array measurements, 5) PS logging, 6) electrical method, 7) capacitively-coupled resistivity method and 8) electromagnetic method. This paper describes the basic structure common to the standard formats for these eight geophysical methods.
