New calculation method for transient responce of time domain IP method


Abstract
A new algorithm to calculate transient response of time domain IP method is described in this paper. This algorithm is based on the calculation of inverse Laplace transform of individual block resistivity. Series acceleration methods that accelerate the rate of convergence of a sequence were applied to calculate resistivity in time domain. The computation speed that used the new algorithm became over ten times faster than the calculation that used previous algorithm.
