Development of the measurement system for the fluid flow electromagnetic method using a low-power wireless sensor network


Abstract
A lot of monitoring stations covering a survey area are necessary for high accuracy for the long-term monitoring of behavior of resource fluids, such as petroleum or geothermal fluid. For that purpose, we have developed four-dimensional geoelectromagnetic method named Fluid Flow Electromagnetic Method.In this research, we are developing the monitoring station which measures changes of the electromagnetic field at all monitoring stations simultaneously caused by fluid flow behavior. We developed the low-cost and low-power monitoring stations with latest high performance devices. The developed monitoring station measures two electric field components and three magnetic field components which are measured by using very sensitive tri-axial Nano-Tesla sensor. The measurements are transmitted through the low-power wire-less sensor network from each monitoring stations to the main controller.
