Characteristics of Love Wave Propagation during the 2011 Mt. Fuji Region Earthquake (Mj6.4)

Abstract
To improve the accuracy of earthquake ground motion estimation based on theoretical methods, it's important to study ground motion characteristics with observation records, and understand the present accuracy of earthquake ground motion simulation appropriately. We investigated the characteristics of Love wave propagation in Kanto basin during the 2011 Mt. Fuji Region earthquake. Then, we performed the simulation using the structure model by the Headquarters for Earthquake Research Promotion (2009) based on 3D finite difference method, and tried to understand the validity and problems of the structure model comparing their characteristics. As a result, while there were several regions that qualitative characteristics were consistent, it turned out that obvious difference was found around eastern Kanagawa prefecture.
