S-wave velocity structure around the Fukuoka area


Abstract
We estimated 1D S-wave velocity subsurface structure of 19 sites in Fukuoka plain by microtremor array measurement and analysis. The 1D model at the central the area had 3 sedimentary layers with Vs 500~800 m/s, 1500-1800 m/s and 2500-2800 m/s, and the edge of the plain had only 1 layer with Vs 700-800 m/s. As, we integrated these 1D models, and constructed 3D S-wave velocity structure model of target area. This model is going to be used for a ground motion simulation.
