Development of numerical simulator for the elastic wave monitoring in the large-scale laboratory reactor for Methane Hydrate production test


Abstract
The large-scale laboratory reactor for Methane Hydrate production test is in operation at the AIST Hokkaido Center. The Chamber wall is made of the steel 67mm thick for holding internal pressure over 10MPa. Therefore the elastic wave monitoring system is proposed instead of X-ray CT. The goal of the development of monitoring system is 'real-time 4D monitoring'. We describe the prior evaluation using the virtual wave data synthesized by FDM and auto-pick strategy utilizing the AIC-Picker(Maeda,1985).
