Estimation of magnetic structure after removal of magnetic noise due to subsurface obstacles


Abstract
We are trying to remove the unexpected magnetic field due to artificial sources in shallower part in magnetic exploration. We are now focusing on the magnetic anomaly data acquired at two sites in Akita Prefecture. One is the dataset at an old pottery site in Shiraiwa, Senboku City and the other is the dataset at a dacite intrusion area near Sugisawa, Daisen City. We are developing the calculation method to remove such kind of noise. The method is a kind of inversion of magnetic dipoles from the magnetic anomaly data including the noise. The outline of the process of the method and its efficiency of the application to some extent have been already reported previously. At present, however, we cannot to say the method is convenient in order to get desirable result. One problem is the difficulty of convergence of inversion
