Three dimesional resistivity modeling of GREATEM data

Abstract
The GREATEM system uses a grounded electrical dipole source of 2 to 3 km length as a transmitter and a three-component magnetometer in the towed bird as a detector. To construct three-dimensional resistivity model using GREATEM data, frequency domain modeling scheme for a grounded electrical source based on conservation law of electric current and magnetic flux was developed. The scheme uses finite difference staggered rectangular non-uniform grid formulation for secondary electric fields with continuous components of tangential electric and normal magnetic fields. The electric and magnetic field in frequency domain convert to time domain data using Fourier Transform to compare GREATEM time domain data.
