Development of 2.5-D modeling program for time-domain IP method

Abstract
Time-domain induced polarization (IP) method is carried commonly for mineral exploration. However, only apparent chargeability is usually used for data interpretation. So, we came up with an approach to obtain more information about IP response that is associated with Cole-Cole parameters. In order to visualize the IP response, get more information more easily and simplify the simulation, we developed 2.5-D modeling software for time-domain IP method that contains GUI. Using the inverse Laplace transform, this program transforms IP response in frequency-domain into that in time-domain. The result of 2.5-D forward modeling and overview of software is presented in this paper.
