The calculate technique for magnetotelluric impedance considering the existence of noise.

Abstract
Recently, we often have opportunities to record magnetotelluric data near urban area disturbed by high noise level, because of the increased demand for disaster prevention. In such area, we make efforts to improve the quality of magnetotelluric spectrum using any noise reduction and editing method. However, in spite of our efforts, there are often some recording points not to be improved the quality enough. For such low quality spectrum, we developed a calculate technique for magnetotelluric impedance considering the existence of noise in the spectrum. It can separate the signal and noise in the impedance robustly using the hybrid constrained least-squares method. In the presentation, we show the calculation results using several synthetic examples and field data.
