On the suggested standard format of geophysical data for their archives in future

Abstract
The SEGJ Digital Standard Format Consortium has been worked since 2009 in collaboration with the Public Work Research Institute for proposing the digital standard formats of geophysical data. XML-based formats for presenting 2D geophysical profiles have been proposed for P- and S-wave velocity profiles of the seismic refraction method, an S-wave profile of the surface wave method and resistivity profile of the electrical method. This standard format and a free application software for presenting a 2D profile have been opened on the geotechnical database KunJiban. The SEGJ Consortium continues to discuss about the standard format of geophysical data including a profile for their archives for reuse of the data in future. This paper presents the proposed standard formats of geophysical data which have been discussed and summarized until now.
