| Abstract | The shake of surface ground by earthquakes are affected complexly by subsurface structure and peripheral geographical features.And, it is widely known that surface ground motion changes more locally than general density of the seismometers. Imaging such a very local surface ground motion is difficult. Because, it is very expensive to install a number of seismometers. Even in Japan where some high density observation systems are running, density of seismometers is not enough to image very local surface ground motion.In this study, we developed new network of seismometers that is independent from existence communication networks and each seismometers is small and inexpensive.We use the MEMS sensor to measure the acceleration of ground surface.Also use ZigBee that has wireless network device.MEMS and ZigBee are controled by a microcontroller called "Arduino". |
