Three-dimensional modeling of time-domain IP method

Abstract
Time-domain induced polarization method is commonly used for mineral exploration. We developed a 2.5-D modeling program for time-domain IP method to simulate realistic resistivity structure. However, the 2.5-D forward program cannot simulate complex resistivity structures. A 3-D modeling program was developed for time-domain IP method to simulate more realistic resistivity structure. The finite difference method is used to discretize complex subsurface structure. The result of numerical modeling is presented in this paper.
