| | Abstract | | Anisotropy in Earth properties can often show surprising effects on geophysical response that are not anticipated from isotropic models. Here, we investigate the effects of transverse anisotropy on the marine CSEM response. In sedimentary basin comprising hydrocarbon, thin bedding sequence of shale and sand is commonly observed, and it will certainly produce electrical anisotropy. |
