| Abstract | Heat exchangers of geothermal heat pumps are normally installed in boreholes drilled with high costs. We conducted experiments to develop a method to install a heat exchanger unit for the purpose of agricultural use in a shallow soil aiming to reduce the initial cost. The radiation tubes are placed in a shallow under the surface and the heat exchangers under the more. The heat from the radiation tubes does not only warm the portion of the crop root zone, but also is transmitted to the heat exchange area. This thermal effect is expected to lead to feedback effects of heat. According to this view, the experiment was carried out in a greenhouse in winter. In this report, the progress of the experiment is described. |
