| | Abstract | | We propose a new approach to analyze 3D X-CT core image data with seismic interpretation software. 3D X-CT scanner have been used for analysis of rock and soil samples in many Geophysical and Geological fields, for example, reservoir engineering, earth science, and geotechnical engineering. X-CT image provide us nondestructive and high resolution visualization, which indicate pore and fracture distribution inside the samples. However most of interpretation systems are for medical usage. Meanwhile there are many visualization and interpretation software for the reflection seismic method. Once we import X-CT data into seismic software. We can utilize the data with our familiar processing and interpretation modules. We discuss applications of X-CT analysis with seismic software, and introduce its implementation. |
