A study of continuous microtremor data processing for extracting Green's function using seismic interferometory

Abstract
In order to estimate Green's function based on Seismic Interferometory, we examined some procedures in data processing of continuous microtremors to remove the effect of nonstationary process. The 1bit normalization of all microtremors is more effective process than running absolute mean (RAM) or spectral whitening. Furthermore It is found that averaging forward and backward cross correlations has the possibility to reduce the signal amplitude although SN ratio becomes higher. Lastly We discussed the possibility to estimate reasonable Green's function with short-term microtremors especially in the plane area.
