Inversion scheme of magnetic anomaly using genetic algorithm


Abstract
In general, geophysical inverse problem requires initial model and/or a priori model for estimating the subsurface parameters as a solution. In this study, we propose the genetic algorithm (GA) for geophysical inverse problem to solve the problem. Magnetic anomaly analysis using total magnetic field data is used for testing the inversion. As a result, a new inversion scheme based on the iterative process with the micro-GA gives us a chance to obtain the acceptable magnetization model.
