A Fundamental examination of Square-Array resistivity measurement for the exploration of seabed resources: Experimental production of Square-Array electrodes and field test

Abstract
The activities about the seabed mineral deposits in Japan are becoming increasingly more than ever. Among them, many areas of sea-floor hydrothermal deposits are recognized in Japanese EEZ. The effective method to evaluate their expanse and the amount of storage is required. In continental metallic ore deposits, electrical or electromagnetic methods of geophysical exploration are often applied. We are discussing about the Square Array electrical survey for exploring hydrothermal mineral deposits. In this paper, we report about the test production of Square Array electrode, and the experiment using that electrode at shallow sea area. And we also mention about the laboratory experiment with the core sample of hydrothermal mineral deposits.
