Investigation of subsurface velocity structure using microtremor survey method

Abstract
In the paper, the microtremor survey method is used to detect faults, underground cavity and underground loose structure in Henan province, China. We measured 3 profiles with 20 or 21 arrays each profile. The SPAC microtremor array analysis is utilized to calculate disperse curves of Rayleigh waves. The apparent S-wave velocity analysis method is utilized to map underground structures. The most effective way to increase the drilling success rate, seems to be the development of new exploration methods and the integration of various geophysical technologies.
