The consideration of influence which the local inhomogeneity of velocity structure gives to the refraction seismic survey

Abstract
We have been analyzing refraction seismic data with assuming a homogeneous laminar structure. However, this assumption fails sometimes. In this paper, we expressed the ground inhomogeneous by "sequential Gaussian simulation" that was a kind of the kriging method. The mean value of this model is a seismic velocity which represents the velocity of homogeneous ground. And, inhomogeneity is expressed by standard deviation in this model. We're thinking this modeling will be the idea to make a base when considering uncertainty of foundation survey result from now on.
