| Abstract | Claerbout (1968) derived an important relation between the transmission and the reflection response of layered structure, which led a wide-spreading success of ``seismic interforometry''. We applied the auto-correlation analysis to the strong-motion records obtained at the seismic stations on the Noubi Plain in order to estimate the seismic structure of the basement and in the deposits. The SH-wave records at each station are deconvolved by their estimated source signature, auto-corrleted and then stacked. After intensive parameter study to establish an optimum procedures, SH-wave pseudo-reflection records were created from the auto-correlation analysis. The auto-correlation profile shows a good agreement with the receiver function profile with less artifacts. The comparison with the 3D velocity structure model beneath the Noubi Plain compiled by Aichi Prefecture also shows good agreement in term of the overall structural features, although the depth estimation shows a systematic shift. |
