| | Abstract | | Near-surface attenuations of S-waves based on the PS logging and vertical array records were examined to clarify their relationships using the actual observed data obtained at the Tsukuba test site. Preliminary results show that if we deal with the same frequency rang of S-waves, the attenuation characteristics estimated from both methods conform with each other. It becomes clear that the method for estimating attenuation based on the PS logging can almost be applied to seismic evaluation. |
