| Abstract | The earthquake-resisting capacity evaluation index C of small structures can be expressed by the product of the vibration characteristics, such as ---, where T is natural period of structure and T0 is the basic natural period (T0= 0.1sec) of ordinary buildings and Q is quality factor for resonance and R is maximum response ratio. The traditional structures of cultural edifice such as temple house and shrine hall have no shear wall. Therefore they have large natural period and much ductility. Then the earthquake-resisting capacity index Ct of traditional structures can be evaluated by the formula as----, where Tb is basic natural period (Tb = 0.2sec) and Rt is maximum response ratio of traditional structures respectively. Therefore Ct corresponds to ----. |
