GPR survey at Antokudai ruins

Abstract
Ground Penetrating Radar enables us to investigate the shallow subsurface structure quickly as a non-destructive survey. The Antokudai ruins are so wide that it is difficult in the restriction of time and the respect of cost to complete surveys by the only excavation investigation. GPR investigations, in addition to excavation surveys, have been carried out at Antokudai ruins in Nakagawa town, Fukuoka prefecture. In 2009, approximately 2800m2 of uninvestigated areas are explored by using GPR. We describe the results of GPR survey in this paper.
