New method to estimate IP parameters using modified Cole-Cole equation

Abstract
It is known that the multi frequency spectrum of the impedance of metallic ore becomes a circular arc on the complex plane. In order to express this impedance, Cole-Cole model is employed in the IP method. The IP method for treating the impedance spectrum in the frequency domain is called SIP method. In the SIP method using the impedance spectrum measured by ten-odd kinds of frequencies, the data analysis is done by detecting individual Cole-Cole parameters of subsurface. The Cole-Cole equation can be modified to another formula without using time constant. In this paper, the process of this modification is introduced at first, and next, the result of the simulation in the homogeneous model is described to examine whether the transformed expression is effective for the analysis of the SIP parameter.
