Effectiveness of sensitivity adaptive inversion method in resistivity monitoring

Abstract
Resistivity change is expected to be caused in a resistivity block and its boundary area. The sensitivity adaptive inversion -SAI- method can divide the parameter mesh automatically in detail at such places. Therefore, it is thought that the detection ability of the resistivity change part improves by using this method. In this research, we conducted the numerical analysis by the combination of the SAI method and the difference tomography method by handling two dimensional ground model. As a result, the use of the SAI method enables the reproduction of the shape of resistivity change part more accurately than the conventional method which divides the parameter mesh by minimum electrode interval.
