Study of Time-domain electromagnetic survey method for seafloor hydrothermal deposit


Abstract
We considered the sea bottom electromagnetic method for hydrothermal deposits. We adapted the vertical configuration of Tx-Rx array in this study. Because of the reasons, 1.the resolution of under the seafloor was required 10m, 2. exploring depth was about 100m, 3. the vertical configuration measurement by the precipitous terrain is easy, and 4. as for the system, broadband and multi-frequency measurement are enable. The TEM survey instruments were used by field tests at sea and under sea. The results demonstrate the possibility of vertical configuration of Tx-Rx array to detect the resistivi.ty structure of under the seafloor.
