Study on the reduction of geology risk by the interpretation combined seismic velocity and resistivity

Abstract
In the preliminary survey of mountain tunnel, the case of carrying out both of seismic and resistivity prospecting is increasing. However, quantitatively combined interpretation technique of seismic velocity and resistivity prospecting result has not been established. Generally, ground condition evaluation by resistivity is carried out on the part that the bad rock is assumed, and ground condition evaluation by seismic velocity is carried out except for it. Then, the combined interpretation technique of seismic velocity and resistivity was examined from the viewpoint of the reduction in cost variation risk which generated from the uncertainty of ground condition evaluation in preliminary survey. As the result, it was possible that the cost variation risk was reduced by carrying out the combined interpretation.
