Field experiments with a linear dipole array antenna fed by coaxial cables

Abstract
In this paper, we show experimental results obtained by a linear dipole array antenna fed by coaxial cables. In this experiment, we set one transmitting dipole antenna and the receiving linear dipole array antenna in two boreholes. In the developed system, we found that the coherence is high around 20 MHz, but low around 150 MHz. According to this fact, we designed the optimal filter to remove the influence of the centered conducing cylinder. With the band pass filter passing the signal around 20 MHz, we could estimate the elevation angle successfully.
