Long-range ground deformation measurement by InSAR time-deries analysis using C-band ENVISAT and L-band PALSAR data

Abstract
The data used in this study were ENVISAT/ASAR and PALSAR images acquired from 2006 to 2010 around Kujyukuri area. InSAR is an application technique for mapping the subtle surface deformation with a high spatial resolution. We perform DInSAR analysis and InSAR time-series analysis using ENVISAT/ASAR data and PALSAR data with commercial software. InSAR time-series analysis is effective method for long-range ground deformation measurement. When actually analyzing, InSAR pairs acquired at the same season are used to avoid the problem of atmospheric phase delay. The analysis suggest the following results, images of both bands represent similar deformations pattern, C-band images are superior to L-band in the resolution of deformation change, and L-band has an advantage in vegetation area for the deformation mapping. Finally the results of InSAR analysis were compared with leveling data.
