A Fundamental experiment of Square-Array resistivity measurement for the exploration of seabed resources

Abstract
Hydrothermal mineral deposits in the EEZ of Japan are brought to attention as the supply sources of metal resources in recent years. We focused the Square-Array electrical survey as the method for exploring the hydrothermal mineral deposits. The Square-Array has an advantage of capability of various measurement directions with small places, which gives the information about resistivity anisotropy. We have conducted the basic experiment of the Square-Array DC electrical survey with a water tank. We have obtained some fundamental responses of the conduit in the brine saturated sand.
