| | Abstract | | Seismic refraction exploration method has been used especially in Japans engineering geophysics fields as one of the common investigation methods for long time. One of the reasons is that practical analysis methods called as Hagiwaras method and its expanded application were developed at the early time. Recently, tomographic inversion method was introduced in seismic refraction analysis. Although both tomography method and conventional method are used in this field now, no guideline has been determined by our society. In order to carry on the tradition of refraction seismic technology to the next generation, SEGJ should play an important roll. |
