Analysis of slope failure process of a model levee based on time lapse electric surevay data


Abstract
It assumes that the behavior of water migration in the levee body and the inhomogeneous structure of the levee influence the penetration destruction safety of the levee body. For observing the slope failure process of the half-shaped model levee, Time-lapse monitoring was performed by using the electrical method. The behavior of water migration in the levee body was studied in according to the various observational data and the resistivity-change. As a result, the change between the vapor-phase and liquid-phase in the levee had been observed very clearly by time-lapse monitored. This result showed that the electrical method is a powerful method for measuring water time-lapse change in the levee.
