Towards an improved seismic imaging of deep reflection data through the combination of dual-vessel streamer and 4C OBC surveys in the transition zones

Abstract Deep seismic reflection profiling across the area of land-marine transition zones in Japan has been imposed serious restrictions and compromises on both data processing and acquisition. We proposed the hybrid acquisition layout using dual-vessel streamer cable and 4C OBC, which is connected to the seismic line of land telemetry and independent recording system across the area of land-marine transition zones to delineate pre-Tertiary basement, the Miocene rift system of Honshu Island and detailed structure of seismogenic zones.
