| | Abstract | | Near-surface attenuation characteristics based on PS logging and vertical array records are examined to clarify those relationships by using numerical experiment with synthetic data and analysis of actual observed data. Preliminary results show that if we deal with the same frequency rang of SH-waves, the attenuation characteristics estimated from both methods conform with each other. It becomes clear that the estimation method for the attenuation characteristics based on PS logging can almost be applied to seismic evaluation. |
