Subsurface structure of Zushi City estimated from strong motion data

Abstract
In order to clarify the surface ground motion characteristics at Zushi area, earthquake observation were made at five stations on the ground surface in Zushi City. In this paper, subsurface structures beneath seismic stations have been estimated using earthquake data. The misfit function defined from deferences between calculated and observed transfer function, is minimized using simulated annealing method. As the results, we have obtained S-wave velocity structure at seismic stations. These results will be useful for the seismological micro zoning and planning seismic disaster mitigation in Zushi City.
