High density imaging of oceanic fine structure by multi-channel seismic reflection survey

Abstract
Multi-channel seismic reflection method is known to apply for marine physical oceanographic researches in recent year by Holbrook et al., 2003. Japan Agency for Marine-Earth Science and Technology can be acquired high resolution seismic profile by introduction of new air-gun and streamer system since 2008. Obtained seismic profiles are identified fine oceanic internal structure. We investigated survey line KT04 in Izu-Ogasawara region and line A2 in north west Pacific in order to compare the oceanic fine structure in same region. Reflective zone in about 500-1000m depth of seismic profile agrees approximately with each line, however, configuration of reflector is different, respectively.
