| | Abstract | | Time-domain induced polarization -IP- surveys is carried out in common. However, apparent chargeability is only used for traditional IP method. So, we try to obtain Cole-Cole parameters from time-domain IP data. In order to understand the relationship between transient IP response and Cole-Cole parameters and to estimate Cole-Cole parameters from time-domain IP data, forward program for 1-D structure and simple inversion program were developed. Transient IP response affected by Cole-Cole parameters is calculated using inverse Laplace transform. Cole-Cole parameters are obtained from these decay curves using inverse algorithm. The result of forward modeling and inversion are presented in this paper. |
