| | Abstract | | In geo-investigation, the BIP system that is an optical borehole scanner is a common logging tool which acquires the image of borehole wall. However, the optical scanner has a big weak point that it cannot to be used in muddy drilling water. Earth Scanning Association introduced a new system which can use the ultrasonic sonde from April, 2008. We introduce the result of the measuring experiment of the ultrasonic borehole scanner in the Hachikenzan test field of Raax co.,ltd., compared with that of the conventional optical scanner. |
