Electromagnetic survey in coastal area at Horonobe in Hokkaido, II - Survey result and interpretation

Abstract Considering geological disposal in Japan, geological survey in coastal region including land and offshore in is very important factor. However, electromagnetic survey in coastal region including land and offshore has not been tested in Japan. Using electromagnetic technique which has been developed to solve this problem, we have performed application test of this technique, focusing faults and groundwater boundaries at Horonobe coastal area, in Hokkaido. Using this survey data, we presented the result of 2D and 3D inversion analysis in seamless from land through offshore and its comparison to other geology and geophysical survey data and we could get coherent result generally.
