The objection of this paper is to verify the practicality of micro tremor observation on the geological hazard investigation by comparing the analysis result with the investigation data. Geotechnical disasters investigation with micro tremor was done in Sichuan where the M8.0 earthquake with 14 KM epicenter depth caused by thrust-dextral slip of Beichuan-Yingxiu fault occurred on May 12, 2008. This paper focuses on the data analyzing by the Nakamura Method in order to obtain the amplitude of micro tremor and the predominant frequency. According to the estimation of ground predominant frequencies, it concludes that the soil layer is overburden by the landslide and the predominant frequencies are related to the thickness of the overburden and the analysis result by the micro tremor observation is closely in keep with the real trend of fault.
