Estination of S-wave velocity structures at Kitakami City, Iwate Prefecture by using microtremor array survey

Abstract
S-wave velocity structures at four sites in Kitakami City, Iwate Prefecture were estimated by using Rayliegh wave phase velocities estimated from microtremor array observations and peak periods of horizontal to vertical ratios from microtremor single point observations. S-wave velocity structures were interpolated between the microtremor array survey points by using single point microtremor H/V. The result shows that the estimated basement depths were gradually decreasing from the west area to the east area and the layer with a S-wave velocity of about 500m/s dramatically became thin.
