Estimation of S-wave velocity structure at a K-NET,HKD020, site where large PGA of 1127 cm/s/s has been observed during an inland crustal earthquake with Mj6.1

Abstract
Large peak ground acceleration of 1127 cm/s/s has been observed at a K-NET,HKD020, site during the 2004 Rumoi earthquake with Mj6.1, an inland crustal earthquake. In order to evaluate site effects on the large ground motion we estimate S-wave velocity structure in and around HKD020 by using surface wave and microtremor exploration methods. S-wave amplification based on the estimated structure is compared with the pseudo velocity response spectrum of the large ground motion. We conclude that the factor in the large ground motion is not site effect, but source effect.
