Dual Mode Inversion for Dispersion Curve of Rayleigh Wave Based on a Consequence of Seismic Interferometry

Abstract
Examples are shown for application of the dual mode inversion for dispersion curve of Rayleigh wave based on a consequence of Seismic Interferometry that foresees that the power-partition among the normal modes is described by the velocity amplitude of the Greens function with source and receiver located at the surface. Therefore, a gradual migration of the dispersion curve determined by correlation-based analysis is allowed from the fundamental mode to the first higher one and vice versa.
