| | Abstract | | Oil contamination originated from mineral oil spill causes serious problems such as ground water contamination. When we consider the problem of environmental assessment and the environmental risk evaluation, it is essential to grasp the area of contamination and concentration of contaminants. For such objectives, geophysical survey method could be useful especially because of its nondestructive characteristics. In the present paper, we describe results of the 3D ground penetrating radar survey applied at a vacant lot where used to be an oil refinery contaminated by mineral oil spill. |
