| Abstract | Helicopter-borne survey and CSAMT were carried out on a newly planned tunnel ground and a preexisting tunnel ground constructed nearby, in accretionary complex areas of Hokkaido, Japan. Results of geological surveys on a long tunnel to be built in the areas and those of geophysical explorations were cross referenced. Differences of faults and lithofacies were perceived in a harmonious way, and it is conceivable that sufficient geological information required to construct a tunnel could be provided by compound analysis helicopter-borne survey and CSAMT. Along with the tunnel excavation, results of the surveys are scheduled to be verified sequentially. |
