| | Abstract | | NanTroSEIZE, Nankai Trough Seismogenic Zone Experiment, the first IODP, Integrated Ocean Drilling Program, by the drilling vessel CHIKYU, has finished in off-shore Kumano, Japan. CDEX/JAMSTEC is the Japanese implement organization of IODP. CDEX operates CHIKYU safely and efficiently in order to meet scientific objectives set by an international group of researchers, and supports them not only during the expedition but also by program planning, pre-survey, providing soft/hardware, training, data publication, etc. LWD, Logging While Drilling, and formation temperature measurement were conducted during the NanTroSEIZE expeditions. We introduce the logging operations, temperature measurement by CDEX/JAMSTEC, and the brief results of the LWD. |
