| Abstract | In this study, we monitored the change of residual gas saturation by using elastic wave velocity. Sgr is formed after the injection phase when water displaced CO2 and it depends strongly on pore geometry, porosity and permeability of the sample rock and reservoirs. In the imbibition phase, Vp was gradually increased with increasing of injected water volume. Vp did not change after it exceeded 5PV. In this condition, Vp showed smaller value than that under the water saturation condition. This gaps indicated the effect of residual CO2 in pores. |
